He has a BA degree in economics from the University of California and an MBA in business management  from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

 

He worked for the Bank of America for two years as a loan officer and then taught business education at a private business school for two years.  Then, he became a business instructor at the Santa Barbara City College for several years in California.

 

He began teaching driver education in 1987 and then formed Roadmasters in 1990 in Santa Barbara, California.
